Cameroon’s forward player, Vincent Aboubakar showed his class to the world in their second group game of the FIFA World Cup.
The game was clouded by the decision of the team’s head coach Rigobert Song to leave out his first-team goalkeeper, Andre Onana from the team because of disciplinary issues.
However, Aboubakar was introduced into the game by Song after the West Africans went 3-1 down against Serbia on Monday, November 28th, 2022. The introduction of the striker was effective as he became the first substitute to both score and assist in a single World Cup game for an African nation.
The goal and assist from Aboubakar ensured Cameroon secured their first point at the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Cameroon will face Brazil in their final group game of the competition in a must-win match.
