Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has stated emphatically that he wants to score against Arsenal in their Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon, 20 May, which is expected to be a challenging one.
The former Liverpool player has been impressive lately for Nottingham Forest in their quest to escape relegation this season in the Premier League and their fate is now in their hands.
It will be recalled that Awoniyi has scored four goals in his last two Premier League appearances for Forest and fans of the club are looking up to him to net again against the Gunners.
In a brief chat, the Kwara-born striker had with Sports Brief, he explained that scoring against Arsenal will make him happy.
”The match is very important to us because we must win and we are ready to fight with all our strengths and get the three points with maximum support from our fans.
”I personally want to score against Arsenal and that has been a dream for me since I was young, but the important thing is for us to win.”
Meanwhile, Forest is currently occupying the 16th position on the Premier League table, while Arsenal are second and they are still eyeing the Premier League title.
