Barcelona’s financial troubles is still haunting the Spanish club as they have been blocked by La Liga from registering the club’s new signings.
Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Frank Kessie, and Andreas Christensen have all joined the Catalan giants this summer as Barcelona tries to rebuild ahead of the 2022/23 season.
La Liga has informed Barcelona that their five new signings this summer still cannot be registered for the new season as the club does not meet financial requirements SB Nation reports.
Barcelona administrators have been meeting regularly with La Liga to examine the issue for weeks, and president Joan Laporta has continuously affirmed that they have taken the required steps to make room for the new signings.
Blaugrana will begin their league season on August 13 when they square up against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou and the club fans are hopeful all new signings will have been registered before then.
