Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he is not ready to leave Italian side Napoli this summer despite being linked with a move to the Premier League.

This comes hours after the Nigerian was ordered to leave training by Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti following an altercation on the pitch. During an open 11v11 training exercise, Leo Ostigard, who was picked in Osimhen’s team, was at the end of a hard tackle by Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

This led to the Nigerian striker protesting and demanding a foul call in a very aggressive manner which made Spalletti livid and ordered him to leave the pitch. Victor Osimhen left the pitch and there is no report if he would be punished by the coach for what he did at training.

According to the report on Complete Sports, the super striker stated that he has no plans to leave Napoli adding that he is happy.

Victor Osimhen’s reaction about his future

“I’m very happy at Napoli, I feel really good here. This city makes me happy. My inspirations are Harry Kane and Didier Drogba.”

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen is still expected to lead the Super Eagles attack when the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers resumes in September.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Napoli and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen took to social media to share a cryptic post after he was called out by his elder sister Esther and her husband Osita Okolo over an unpaid €69,000 and $439,000 (N217m) debt.

In a chat with popular media personality Daddy Freeze, Esther and her partner narrated how Osimhen took the money paid into Mr Okolo’s account with the promise to pay back and how the striker neglected her family after attaining fame.

According to them, the money was the commission Mr Okolo had received from Osimhen’s deal when he left Lille to join Napoli. Osita Okolo while laying his complaint to Daddy Freeze alleged that Osimhen obtained the money from him with the excuse that his family desperately needed the money.

So he willingly gave it to him without having a second thought because of the trust he had in him.
