The head coach of Chelsea Football Club, Graham Potter has reacted to his team’s UEFA Champions League draw in the quarter-final against Real Madrid.

Potter was speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the league game against Everton on Saturday, March 18th, 2023. The Englishman said his team is focused on winning the trophy just like every other team left in the competition.

I said we would try to win the Uefa Champions League. That is the same for the other seven clubs. We’ll focus on Real Madrid when we get there. The feeling is excited, but I’d rather speak about Everton as that’s the game tomorrow and the other stuff is a long way away.

This is the third consecutive season that both teams have been paired against each other in the knock-out stage of the tournament. Chelsea have only lost one of their seven games against Real Madrid in European competition indeed, they have the lowest percentage of losses against Real Madrid (14%) of any side to have played them more than five times in Europe.
