Gabriel Jesus is one of the top targets Mikel Arteta wishes to bring to Arsenal this summer but the Gunners are now set to miss out on the Manchester City striker Daily Mail reports.
Arsenal were quick to express their interest when Jesus became available for transfer almost two months ago, but have yet to commit to paying City’s £50 million asking price. Arsenal are hoping to improve their playing squad ahead of the 2022/23 season following the summer exit of star forward, Alexander Lacazzete.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are looking for an alternate plan in case the London club misses out on signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City this summer. The Gunners have now entered the race to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha after the Brazilian impressed with the Peacocks last season in the Premier League Sky Sports reports.
Arsenal are set to battle other Premier League teams including Chelsea and Aston Villa for the winger who is open to a move to a bigger team this summer.
